Pamela Badjogo

The year was 1982, Libreville, Gabon, where Pamela Badjogo was born and raised before moving to Mali (W. Africa) in 2005 to continue her education in Microbiology. In 2007, she wowed the Malian and African audience, with her debut on a Musical T.V Reality Show called: Case Sanga aired on the famous Pan-African Channel, Africable; she won the 2nd place prize.
Pamela Badjogo’s voice was used on the soundtrack of the musical comedy ‘Kirikou and Karaba’. She has also performed as a background vocalist on stage and in the studio for world renown artists such as: Salif Keita, Oumou Sangare, Cheikh Tidiane Seck, Dee Dee Bridge Water, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Mathieu Chedid A.K.A Danakil, and more. She was also a host on a daily Cultural T.V Show called ‘Artiste A La Une’/Top Artist, which was aired on Africable T.V.

Full of vibrant energy, Pamela expressed her love of performing through her group called ‘Bamakool Jazz’, in 2011 and 2012. She also showcased her Beautiful Voice during jam sessions that she organized at the French Institute of Mali – also at the ‘Notes d’une Vallee’ Summer Festival (Correze 2015). And again through performance with the ‘Amazones A la Fiesta des Suds’ (Marseille 2015).
“Mes Couleurs” (My Colors) is the name of Pamela`s first solo album, which is the fruit of a collaboration with musician and artistic director Manjul. Recorded in Mali, this album mesmerizes with exceptional Blues and Afro-Jazz grooves, where both Mandingue and Bantu vibes meet.

With her serious & distinguished tone, Pamela makes us vibrate to the 11 tracks on her album – where she mixes French, English, Bambara and Babaningui (her native language). For example, a song like “Koule” is a rhythmic and captivating hit (see Official Video on YouTube); “Bo”, is Pamela’s interpretation of a lullaby that her mother sung to her when she was a child.
Her album, “Mes Couleurs” (My Colors), expresses her inspiring journey and significant influences. Her album is also a way to pay tribute to her adopted country – Mali, by featuring the Legend of the Traditional Violin – “Zoumana Tereta”, and the Griot “Babani Kone. Paco Sery, Cheick Tidiane Seck, and the rapper Penzy are all featured on the album. The Entire album is available in stores and on all online stores, such as Amazon, ITunes, Sportify and more.
Other than her 2016 International Summer Tour, Pamela Badjogo has also performed at several big Concerts and Festivals throughout Europe and Africa.
